NJSACOP Resource Library & Policy Exchange

The New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police headquarters has an extensive collection of sample and model policies, SOPs, written directives and general orders contributed by agencies thorughout the state and the nation.

Additionally, the association has created a complete manual of policies and directives that are keyed to, and address, every standard within the NJSACOP Law Enforcement Agency Accreditation Program. This Policy Manual is available at no charge to every Chief in New Jersey, regardless of whether or not the agency they lead participates in the Accreditation Program.

In addition to policies and general orders, the NJSACOP Resource Library also contains a large collection of court decisions, journal articles, advisory memoranda, research papers, trade publications, and other materials and documents that can assist police executives in the complex task of leading and managing a contemporary police agency in today's challenging environment.

One of the most frequently used service that the association provides to it's members is the NJSACOP Policy Exchange. This system permits Chiefs of Police to seek advice, information, specific policies and other direction from fellow Chiefs throughout the state by way of the reach and resources of the NJSACOP.
