From the NJ POLICE CHIEF MAGAZINE - Leadership Makes the Difference: The Leadership Staff Ride

COURSE DESCRIPTIONThe Staff Ride represents a successful, educational method of applying the leadership lessons of the past to present day organizational leaders.  This experiential lesson places modern day law enforcement leaders at the very locations of major historical events and allows them to take the role of the important persons from that era for the purpose of applying essential leadership principles to modern law enforcement organizational challenges.

This one-day Staff Ride for Law Enforcement will examine the leadership of Generals George Washington and Lord Conwallis in highly pressurized circumstances and extreme conditions. The program will focus upon the operations popularly known as "Washington's Crossing of the Delaware," as well as the Battles of Trenton and Princeton.

The events, personalities and challenges presented and overcome during these historic events will serve as the basis for lessons for today's law enforcement manager.
